The eccentric shaft converts motor rotation into reciprocating jaw motion. The shaft has three bearing positions: two main bearings at the ends and one eccentric bearing that drives the pitman via the toggle plate. The eccentric offset determines the jaw stroke. Shafts endure high-cycle combined bending + torsion fatigue with shock loading from uncrushable material. All shafts are forged with minimum 3:1 reduction ratio and 100% UT inspected.
